The Hilton Head Island Writers’ Network (IWN) aims to support, inspire, and mentor writers in both the business and the craft of writing. Its members write in all genres, including fiction, nonfiction, memoir, children’s literature, and poetry. They range in experience from the aspiring neophyte to the multi-published author.
Members have served as volunteers in local schools and community literacy projects, taught workshops, participated in book festivals, and been guest speakers at events such as BRAVO, Beaufort County’s month-long celebration of the arts.
IWN meets three times a month: General Meeting (business & program) at 6 p.m. on
the first Monday of the month (except in July, August and Labor Day); Open Workshop
at 7 p.m., on the third Monday of every month; and Open Mic, a coffeehouse format at
held during the last week of each month (See Calendar). Please see our website: www.
islandwritersnetworkhhi.org for meeting locations and related events.
IWN also offers a number of open mic nights, where our members share their work at different locations throughout the island. Check out our calendar to see upcoming events. All are welcome!
